The link Teen Club in Nocatee started off September with a wonderful gesture for the Port in the Storm organization in St. Augustine.
Port in the Storm is a youth center for those ages 21 and under who are troubled or find themselves homeless. This organization is a beacon of hope for the community with the services they provide.
The link Teen Club came together as each teen volunteered to purchase items needed to create 100 sack lunches consisting of sandwiches, chips, granola bars, fruit and other snacks.
The club was proud to donate the lunches on Sept. 4. All items were picked up by Sarah Del Sid, Development & Volunteer Coordinator for Port in the Storm.
“We are so appreciative of all that the link Teen Club does to support the homeless men, women, youth and families in our community,” said Del Sid. “Thank you for sharing your time and talents; your donations are making a positive impact right here in St Johns County.”

The link Teen Club is an important initiative under the youth empowerment mission of Sapna Foundation, a nonprofit started by the founders of the link, Raghu and Gurpreet Misra.
“We are greatly appreciative of the attendees of the link’s events like Collisions and Coffee and Circle of Creation, as all proceeds go towards projects like Teen Club,” said Gurpreet Misra. “We are extremely proud of the Teen Club and what they do to give back to the community.”
The club is off to the next project where they have been challenged to build a one-of-a-kind sculpture that will be a focal point at Jax Fuse, a two day festival celebrating food, fashion and film.
